- 1. Clean Your Car
Depending on the material of the frame of your car, clean it with either soap and water or using a pressure washer. Washing your car before the paint job can get rid of dirt and peeling pieces of original paint that can ruin the shades of the new paint job.
- 2. Practice
To achieve the desired effect, one need to apply several layers of dry candy paint with high precision and the only way to achieve high accuracy is the practice. Before implementing the paint on your car, use it on something else in your garage to just get used to the spray tools. It will also help you decide the thickness of each layer to achieve your desired effect.
- 3. Apply the Base Coat
After a little practice, when you feel like you are ready to go. Use several layers of primer and sealer and wait until dry. Once done with primer, sealer, and prep, Its time to choose a color for the base coat . Choosing base color is critical because the different color shades of your vehicle will highly depend on the support.
- 4. Safety Comes First
Remember, nothing is more vital than your safety. Once Dry Candy Paint is mixed and ready to spray it is flammable. Be sure to get rid of anything that can cause spark or ignite the spray fumes in your garage before starting your paint job. Moreover, don’t forget to wear goggles and the correct respirator while applying paint with a HVLP spray gun to avoid damage to your eyes, and health.
- 5.Mixing Color
Although different shades and colors of candy paint come in the different spray paint can, you can mix them to achieve your desired effects. Use your creativity to mix different shades and spray them to get your desired results.
